The National Garden, located in the very centre of Athens, behind the building of Parliament, is one of the few places you can enjoy long quite walks. Lots of shadow, a botanical museum, an expo and also a playground can be found inside the park

Very nice park in the heart of Athens. Good for a moment in shadow during the day. And it contains one of much to few playgrounds for kids in the south-eastern corner

Very quiet and nice place to rest. The coffee shop offers very nice and affordable food and drink. There's lots of tortoises living freely all around the park, just listen to the crispy leaves noise to spot them.
There's also benches literally everywhere in this parc, so anyone should find a great spot to rest under the shade of wonderful old trees.

My favourite place for long walks into its surrounding greenery. Nice surprise the parrots' nests on the high trees around the cage with the smaller birds. Love their way to feed, flying in'n out of the cage. Intriguing to know that this garden was created by Queen Amalia for recreation in 1839 and it remains the city's green lung!
