This is by far one of the best genuine Tavernas in Athens. The area has a lot of character and every time I visit from London to see family I make sure I make a visit here! If you visit Athens this is the place to go!

We visited the place 2 couples for a dinner. During the night, street fights between groups of anarchists and police were taking place, outside the restaurant. The problem was that the police shoοted chemical & tear gases. All these chemicals were getting in, I a few minutes all customers couldn’t breathe, our eyes and noses were burning and the children were crying. Ιn this part of Athens, these kinds of situations happens quite often. This is something they are well aware of and despite all that, they didn’t had any mechanism to protect their customers from the fumes and gases getting in. At some point we saw the waiters bringing in quite few fire extinguishers, assuming that weren’t prepared properly, not even for a fire accident….
After making complaints for the situation, the management said they couldn't do anything and we should be patient and wait for the riots to stop, but the chemicals continued to fall. When we make complaints again, because our health were getting worse and worse. The owner and his son came outraging and bullying me, threatening my physical integrity. Ι should stop complaining, otherwise they were going to beat me. Then we were forced to leave, after paying our bill first of course, putting ourselves in a bigger danger because of the clashes that were taking place outside that place.
I strongly advise everyone whose thinking to visit this restaurant to be very thoughtful & careful, because if anything happens outside nobody inside will protect him, on the contrary if you dare to make any complaint, you probably receive bulling abuse inside the restaurant in order to force you to leave indifferenting of what happens outside...!!!

Delicious food. full stop. Great Prices! This is the place to try out some awesome grilled meats. I got the lamb chops and my girlfriend got the pork steak. Both were total wins, but the prices though. You'd expect for a good deal the food quality would suffer a bit. Nope not here. Cheers and hope you enjoy this restaurant as much as we did!
