The Byzantine Iconography (Half Day)

Athens is a city rich in churches and Byzantine monuments. During this cultural/ religious walk we will visit 4 very important churches, related to The Byzantine Religious Iconography. We will learn about The origins, The significance and The techniques and finally we will be introduced to The basics of “making an icon”. The churches included in this program, are jewels representing The period during which they were constructed.
