After looking on the website, I decided to ask for some additional information through mail. This contact went really quick and easy, which made me decide to book a car for a day (we were only visiting Santorini for a short time). The booking was confirmed through e-mail. On the day of our booking, the car did not show up, I tried calling both numbers on the website, but no-one picked up the phone (it felt like some sort of answering machine in Greek). The hotel owner also tried calling for us, but did not have success either. After half an hour, I decided to contact them through mail again, but I haven't heard anything from them since (more than a week ago). After all, I was really dissapointed that the car did not show up. We only had about a day on the island and now we spent quite a lot of time trying to fix a new car for the day. I would not reccomend using this rental company.

Terrible experience. Car provided was beat up and unsafe (little wheel traction, front right tire did not have enough air, brakes were shot, shaky steering, window wipers did not work, etc.). I had issues driving up the steep hills due to the lack of tire traction, even when flooring the accelerator and with one other passenger in the car. Emailed Coolcars to complain and was given the standard superficial apology with no actual remedy. Was also told that my car rental was with another company (princess car rental) since Coolcars was unable to meet my request (despite booking and Coolcars confirming the day before), which I didn't know until after the fact, and that it was the other car company's responsibility. I did not know transferring one's reservation without first informing the customer was standard operating procedures.
I highly recommend avoiding this car rental company at all costs. Cosmetic damages is one thing, but providing cars that are unfit to drive for the challenging Santorini terrain is inexcusable. Furthermore, Coolcars inadequate response to my car issues and overall questionable business demeanor show they care little for customer service or satisfaction.

Very rude owner and their quads are in poor condition. Didn't rent car or bike from them. Would definately not recommend to anyone.

We recently rented from coolcars. We were met at the port pretty much on time. One of the cars they brought wasn't running smoothly so on his own he got a different car. He was flexible in our return time when our ferry reservation turned out to have changed by an hour.
The environment there seems pretty loose - basically renting cars out of a parking lot - and as we got the cars we were asked if we could pay in cash when we returned them. The cars were well used, with clutches pretty warn and very little gas - but after we got some gas and got used to how they drove we got along okay. When I expressed some feelings of dissatisfaction with our initial experience we were offered a discount to compensate.
