If you're going to Iceland you 100% need a car. It is the least expensive way of traveling and so much more comfortable than trying to make your way around via bus. We traveled north our entire first day, inland our second day, and our last two days we traveled south. Thanks to Blue Car we saw everything we wanted to see in Iceland. The car we rented was amazing, we also got wifi and used it the entire trip to navigate around, making traveling much easier. They were super super nice and treated us very well!

We hired a small car to drive around Iceland for the week. We walked in without having pre arranged anything and it was made so simple and easy. The guys were very friendly and informative, and answered any questions we had, reassuring us. The price for rental was more than reasonable and the car was in excellent condition. One of the guys even gave us recommendations of where to eat and drive on our journeys and even this was amazing! We ended up not needing the car for the last day and we were even refunded this back with no hassle which we appreciated so much. Drop off was simple also. 5 star service and I will definitely be coming back here when I re visit Iceland.

The car was good but the navigation system was the worst. It was not capable of finding most locations outside of Reykjavik. We did not get a refund even though our GPS was completely useless. I recommend you to not pay extra for GPS with this company, since they told us that all their GPS systems use the same software, so they will all be bad. Signs in Iceland are pretty good, and you have cell phone service almost everywhere. GoogleMaps on your phone will do a way better job.

We rented a small, standard car from here and walked over from the terminal (faster than waiting for the shuttle!) Nice guys, short wait and the car was brand new! Just be sure when you book you know whether you are booking a standard. We enjoy a stick, but not all do. Would recommend. remember you can't drive these off road! Great service and thanks!

Overall we are very pleased with our rental of a 4x4 automatic vehicle from Blue Car Rental.
We booked a Toyota far ahead of time and paid up front. When we arrived to pick up our car , we were told our car wasn't ready yet and had to wait 30-60 minutes before a car was ready for us. They gave us a Mitsubishi Highlander instead of the Toyota, which ended up being a great car to drive for the week.
We had no problems with the vehicle or the return of the vehicle.
We were surprised when they told us at check in that even with maximum insurance, there would still be charges for various sorts of damage. This led us to be extra careful when driving on gravel and uneven surfaces.
We did not purchase GPS or wifi , and instead opted to purchase an international plan from our cell phone company , which worked fine.
