Good location in the middle of the CBD with lots of shopping malls nearby. Room cleanliness can be improved: there were dust bunnies in the corners. When the air conditioning is off, an unpleasant smell (like cigarette smoke) builds up. Thankfully it goes away after the air conditioning is on for a while. No hair dryer, tissues, body wash (there's soap bar). Ambience is good and quiet. The pool hrs are 7am-7pm. Service is great; the staff are friendly and attentive.

Very good hotel within a city. Room interior was complicated. Bathroom drainage system is not good. Plus point is there's a Market everywhere once you go out of the hotel. Yet to figure out the nightlife of bangalore. Nice food and well mannered employees.

The hotel is located in the heart of the city, there are malls, shops and cafes nearby. At the same time the hotel is situated a little inside and distantly from the noisy roads, so it's a quiet place. And a small bonus - parrots on the trees which surround the building.
What I really liked about Magrath is the new modern interior of the room and the washroom. The bed and the pillows were extremely comfortable. The room was spacious.
The washroom has almost everything you need. There was no hair dryer though, but it was given on request. The only thing which I couldn't understand was why there were only 2 bath towels for two guests in a 4* star hotel. Two small extra towels were given after I asked for the same, but after room cleaning they vanished again and again we got two bath towels. I believe that there should have been at least 3-4 towels per person.
Just to inform those who prefer to take a bath, there is only a shower cubicle, maybe it's like this only in standard rooms, I'm not aware. But for me it was absolutely OK.
I liked the terrace with a swimming pool and restaurant on it where they serve breakfast which spread was OK for a foreigner.

Spacious rooms. Good service. Pool side restaurant on the terrace has a nice breakfast spread.
The pool appeared too small for a swim.. Didn't try it though.
