If you are looking for a place just to sleep and don't care about anything else then you can opt for this place. I say so because there is no locker in the room, the bunk beds have no proper sheet, a noisy old fan and a mirror is all they have. It is nothing like Youth Hostel in Delhi if you are setting your expectation on the basis of that.

A good thing is that it is near to the railway station. Nice doormetories and old fashioned individual rooms.

If all you are looking for a budget place in bangalore, then probably consider it. Few plus points are it is very close to the camtontment railway station, cheapest option probably and clean rooms. Though the washrooms aren't that clean and lack basic facilities, also they don't prepare food if they don't get minimum orders which is usually the case. :/

I'm a lifetime member of YHAI. When I came to Bengaluru for the first time (from New Delhi) in 2015, this is the place that I chose to live. The dorms are inexpensive (₹75/day for physically handicapped and ₹150/day for general category).
I have beautiful memories of staying in the dormitory; i felt safe and comfortable; i had so many bags (big and small); yet, there was no issue of poor safety.
Now I live in a government house; whenever I pass by the hostel, memories come back of that period. Emotional and nostalgic.
I'm a lifetime member of YHAI. When I came to Bengaluru for the first time (from New Delhi) in 2015, this is the place that I chose to live. The dorms are inexpensive (₹75/day for physically handicapped and ₹150/day for general category).
