I lost my baby here. I saw him took his last breath. I could never forget that painful look on his face. The doctor didn't know what to do. They were least bother about treating him. I saw the doctor waved his hand and passed by the medical student who was trying to ask the doctor to look at the X-rays report. Few moments later, they realized they haven't stopped his bleeding, while he stopped breathing. They could never find his nerves. I curse them forever. The main doctor was waiting to declare him dead. I lost everything that day.

The best time to visit is from 10:00 to 13:00 hrs. That is when OPD doctors, who are the most knowledgeable, are present. Admit your pet only if you have no other option. You have to ensure that your pet is given the treatment and have to run around the premises, which is obvious since the staff is limited and there are a lot of patients to attend to.
Staff is compassionate and treats animals with utmost care. They also rescue and treat animals from around the locality which is a very noble thing to do.

Over the last seven years I have had occasion to take countless stray animals to this hospital. It is best to present a balanced view.

Positives:
- 24 hrs assistance is available. Especially the emergency wards
- Doctors are available who almost always work without the thought of fleecing you as in many (not all) private practices. Also little attempt is made to push dog or cat food.
- Handling staff had ALWAYS been competent
- With persistence, the ward boys try and accommodate your animal in a cage as far as possible.
- Very well organized
- It is a teaching hospital, so seniors with expertise are available. Often with expertise for the more rare creatures

Negatives:
- Cages are almost ALWAYS full. Cannot blame the place. It is just that it is almost the only one around.
- If you admit a stray and don't visit it almost everyday, expect a call saying that it has died. (Euthanizing is their way of clearing cages for the needy animals I guess. Also with a huge crush of animals infections between animals are quite possible).

My experience has be really good here. I have a golden retriever, who got diagnosed with heart enlargement by our vet and so we decided to take him to the Animal Hospital. The doctors did a sonography and determined that it was severe bronchitis and not a heart problem. They were also very helpful and considerably fast.

A good hospital with well trained students and doctors. The ward boys are also quite helpful at times. The hospital is kept clean most of the time and the animals are fed fine. They do need a lot to do overall.
