Visited here for my father's eye check-up and taking a second opinion on cataract surgery. Old building but very nicely maintained and cleaned. Staffs were very helpful in guiding us to respective rooms and departments. No language issue, people were extremely helpful in speaking in English as and when required. Overall it took just 1.5 hours to get whole check-up done including sugar and urine test along with reports.
I am amazed by the quality of govt institutions in Chennai. I hope this review will clear prejudiced opinion about govt facility being poorly managed.

Part of Madras Medical College, this is a tertiary care hospital and referral centre. Also has a dedicated​ cornea bank.
