Am a doctor who is working in one of the reputed tertiary care hospital in Delhi.. am sharing here the worst experience with Hdfc ergo gen health insurance. I had admitted my wife with diagnosis of meningitis in Apollo hospital which is there in cashless hospital list of ergo. Initially everything went well.. but when it came to bill payment.. ergo denied insurance claim saying that my wife had preexisting disease.. as such she didn't have any pre-existing disease that suppose to affect present diagnosis. i.e previously she had typhoid and febrile illness.. which is completely curable disease with medical treatment. On top of this above ailment has been mentioned during their phone enquiry. Why am sharing this experience here is.. if this can happen to a doctor.. wat about other non medico people.. think before taking this policy.

I've always heard of stories how travel insurance policies helped people in adverse situations while they are on a trip abroad. So when I heard that my husband was also planning a business trip to London soon, I forced him to buy the international travel insurance policy.
