I would encourage you to visit this place during weekday on a winter months. The places is under the Government of India and it’s a very peaceful place. You will experience the humble Indian Handmade Culture been sold at the height price. I really want the Govt. should encourage more such places to help Art & Culture of India. However, there are some stall outside where you could see people busy doing activities with regards to there art form.
The moment you reach their stall they will greet you and except if you could buy anything. There is a Showroom where you could also buy very good items.
Although, they have valet parking but they will charge you Rs. 120/-
You may also eat food at Cafe Lota.

Wonderful collection, a good platform for regional artisans to showcase their work. Good place to hang out for art lovers.

Also known as Crafts Museum. A very well effort to showcase India's some of great heritage, craftsmanship and India ability to know, explore and exploit natural resources .... be it is material, manpower, creativity, craftsmanship, usefulness .... without damaging nature or environment. The Audio-Video room is a beautiful example of blending ancient with modern materials creating an eco-friendly facility worth praising. The structure, its murals, all colours used in its interiors, the shine .... all made of basic 5 coloured clays available in India (only) and bark of trees!! It has an in-house cafeteria, little expensive, serving dishes from most parts of India. The worst part is some of its officials giving wrong and objectionable captions to the displays in its galleries and museums. Appears hard core vested interests are hell bent to describe and demean our own culture and heritage to serve their rotten mindset. The country/world wide respected and worshipped Gods and Goddesses are "Myths" for them. When spoken to some of the officials/attendants there on this, I was told that a few handful officials responsible for deciding captions are repeatedly confronted by many visitors/researchers/scholars but in vain so far. A serious review on this aspect is desired.
