The best, unspoilt pub in Dublin. It's a miracle that it has survived. Friendly staff, a good pint and a very significant literary heritage. Mentioned by James Joyce in the Dubliners and is also where the phrase "A man who would end a sentence with a preposition would be capable of anything" was coined by Con Houlihan.

My first time here, after I heard about it. Most people locals told me is the best Guinness in Dublin. I do agree the place is usually packed at Thursday nights and you can see 70% of people drinks Guinness. Enjoy

Probably the best pint of Guinness in Dublin city. Lovely old style pub, great for conversation with no music blaring.

I loved this place, the atmosphere is so warm and all the people I met there were so kind. One of the beer-men was so kind with me 'cause I'm from Rome and he told me about the kindness of a roman person when he was visiting Rome. I really, really appreciated. Hope to come back there in the future!

Love the atmosphere here. You should ask the bar staff about the story of Billy Brook Carr whose ashes are located within a clock inside the pub. It's a proper old school pub.
