Fish and chips. Simple food but done so well. Great place to eat. Always busy with a good atmosphere. It's not often I'm here in Galway to eat it, but man it's so good when I do.

Busy fish and chip joint. Delicious. Really enjoyed our meal, and it was interesting to see the fresh varieties of fish they offered. Great spot in a lovely downtown area!

Pretty cool place. Speed is the name of the game here. The fish and chips as this place is know for were subpar to some of the other places that we had it at. Pretty much each place we ate someone had fish and chips.

For the price it's the right place. The baked salmon and baked cob on the sit down side were good but a little under seasoned.

Has a side just for fish and chips and a sit down table service side. Good enough but the fish and chips were not the best

I was so excited to try the fish and ships here after Rick Steve's gave great reviews on his talks about Ireland. I was sadly disappointed. I felt like the fish and chips were just average, and the oysters were very fishy tasting. The chowder was very good and the soda bread was hard and almost tasteless. I'm not sure why this is rated the best in town.

We tried both the quick side and the seafood restaurant side while on vacation in Galway, and both were wonderful. On the fast side we had some oysters on the half shell, and the fried cod. Great. In the evening my wife had the special (potato and leek soup and the salmon for her main dish, with white wine), very good meal at a nice price. The fish and chips with a beer for me. Nice size position, good batter that let you taste the fish and crisp chips. We would (and did) eat there again. 5 stars.
