The experience was generally positive, and I somehow managed to put over 900 miles on the car in 5 days. There was, however, one huge negative aspect of renting with Budget Ireland. When I picked up the car at the downtown Killarney office, I was told that a 25 euro "administrative fee" would be added to the invoice, because I declined the Collision Damage Waiver ( expensive) coverage. I had a letter from MasterCard, advising that they would pick up the CDW in Ireland. This was never mentioned, when I rented the car, on line, earlier this year. This is a pure rip-off !

Overall it was a good exprience renting the car here. My brother and I wanted to use it to explore the region as part of our Ireland trip. The car was small as requested (Skoda Fabia) and clean, the office was easy to find in the center of the city and the pick-up was really fast. Because I am not used to drive in left-sided traffic we wanted to minimize the financial risk in case something happens, which was was no problem. Sadly the staff didn't really explain how that pushed the price from about 50€ (online) to about 250€ for a 3-day-rental. Only after asking about that we were at least told that 90€ will be refunded if the car is returned with a full fuel tank. Also despite returning the car during opening times there was no staff at the office, which wasn't a big problem in terms of the Drop-off (drop the key in the box) but we could have used some feedback on where to park the car as most parking spaces directly at the office were taken.
Everything else went really smooth, i received the fuel refund about a week after returning the car and next time we visit that great country we will properly rent here again.

We rent a car for few days for a great value. The car was very good, easy to drive, small as requested, clean. The staff in the office is very nice. If I need, I'll definitely use Budget Car Rental again.

I've been using budget car rental for the past year and have found the service really good. The guys working there are friendly and really helpful. Great location in the center of killarney town. Great selection of cars. Will continue to use budget. Never any problems.
