Where to start? Maybe with the off-hand welcome from the unpleasant wait staff? The soiled doilies on the plates? The owner using a spoon to clear crumbs from the table and brushing them straight into one diner's lap? The food was underwhelming and over-priced -apart from a very good gazpacho-like amuse bouche.
The service was rushed and on the rude side. No-one noticed we had run out of water and offer more, though they were quick to suggest more wine after we finished a bottle of prosecco. We declined.
This was truly a disappointment after the recommendations we read in guide books. We can't imagine what people see in the place and couldn't wait to put the whole experience behind us. What a waste, though it has already given us the shared story of Worst Birthday Dinner Ever to laugh about.
Do not go to this restaurant.
