It seems that the management of this hotel loves money more than their guests. I booked a room on Hotel Tonight, and this hotel was the first ever to charge me an extra 48.43 EUR for a 4-night stay! I know that I need to pay the city tax on check-in, but nothing in addition. They said it's a "resort fee" of Expedia. But I didn't book on Expedia! Long discussions at the reception counter just poisoned the atmosphere of my check-in. To my mind, their rooms are already overpriced, and then they charge some ominous extra fee. Never will I stay in this place again!
The customer service of Hotel Tonight, on the other hand, was perfect. I could reach them within seconds, and they phoned the hotel to clarify the issue, because they weren't aware of this strange fee either. But even they couldn't do anything. At the end, they gave me a 50 EUR voucher for the next booking. This is excellent customer service!

Un Hotel decisamente di classe che conserva un fascino da primo novecento rivisitato in chiave moderna. Ho alloggiato un paio di volte per lavoro e mi sono sempre trovato a mio agio. La camera a me assegnata era al terzo piano; camera confortevole e con ogni confort per gli accessori in bagno di ottima qualità. Colazione davvero completa e con prodotti eccellenti. Camerieri e staff di portineria gentili.

Apartments came with everything you would want including a kitchen full of stuff. However no air con, only fans. Shower was so low down that even if you are 5ft you would have to bend (no exaggeration) Also the place was dusty and a bit dirty. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Staff pleasant although charged €3 per night for Italy hotel tax when it should only be €1.50 for a 3 star hotel (I didn't ask why €3 at the time, I only realised after). All in all good but nothing to write home about.

Rooms are OK, nothing out of the top but pretty decent. The location is good (actually, almost every spot in Bologna is at an affordable distance, even walking).
The worst part of my experience was at the reception: a) I had to pay a 30€/night bail in case I took something frome the minibar (even if all its items combined weren't worth 30€); b) they take your keys when you leave the building so that there's no possibility to bring more people into your room. This has happened to the 3 hotels I've stayed in Italy, so I suppose it's a common doing there. They seem very focused on surveillance, as one can tell by the many cameras pointing the building's entrances. In addition, having to leave the room at 10am was quite hard as a Spanish sleepyhead.
I can't say anything about breakfast or any meal, as I didn't eat there.
Overall, a pleasant hotel.
