Short story: They aren't refunding you for the fuel if you take "full tank take, full tank return option".

Long story: I've made a booking at this office from 20th to 30th July 2016.

Getting car was pretty easy, despite quite a time spent in the queues.
The car itself was pretty good and met our expectations.

The reason why I'm writing this review and gave it 1 star is simple - all the troubles that I've got after dropping car at the office.

1. We dropped a car quite early and there were no Goldcar's employees anywhere nearby. We spent almost 40 min trying to find a box to leave the keys for the car. We couldn't find one, so we decided to leave keys inside the car. To check if everything's ok, I've called to the office later that day, from another country. I've described the situation to the manager and she said "Everything's fine and You shouldn't worry about it. Just tell us where exactly in the car you left your keys, that's all, no fines or anything".

2. On 2nd August 2016 I've got an email stating that I won't get full refund for the fuel, because there wasn't full tank in the car. That's total nonsense because of this very reason I've got full tank just outside of the ariport (less than 5 km away from airpot). To be clear, full tank cost 65 euro and fine for leaving car without full tank is 40 euro.

3. Today is 24th August 2016. I haven't got my refund still (neither 65 euros, nor 25 considering the fine that I'm not agree with).
From that day, 2nd August, up to this day I've been trying to contact Goldcar representetives to clarify this situation.
First call to Goldcar's support: I've been told to process a claim through official site. I did it, but I've got autogenerated answer that completely ignored everything that I've asked for.
Second call to Goldcar's support: I've been told that my refund won't be processed because I left the keys in the wrong place. After I've stated that I've been specifically told that there won't be any fines (and they record their calls), operator said that I should talk directly to the manager of Cagliari office.
Third call to Goldcar's manager in Cagliari: After stating all the problems that I've mentioned earlier, I've been told that they will investigate the case and call me back in an hour. They didn't call back.
Still working on getting my own money from Goldcar.
UPD: Just to clarify, I didn't get any money or even answer from Goldcar.

I rented a car in Cagliari for 10 days, they charged me 122 euros for fuel that was meant to be refunded after returning the car with a full tank which I did. After 20 days I am still waiting for a refund which they said it would happen in few days.
So far I sent 6 emails and I called their cusomers service twice, they always said that it's a system error and that I will get a bank transfer ASAP, i was asked to provide my card details twice and still nothing! I rented a car last year and I got the refund in 2 days(same card).
Can someone get back to me? I've been asking for answers for 3 weeks now and no luck! I simply want back the money that you owe me!!!

As I mentioned above I got in touch with your customer service at the bottom right of your website times!!! They always acknowledged the problem and apologised for the system error but I still didn't get the refund.
I called the number on the website 4 times and only spoke to incompetent people that didn't know how to help and clearly told me that. Everybody said that the refund is in process but I still didn't receive it.
Your customer service is really poor, nobody is able to help with a very simple request and there is no number/email where I could possibly get an answer about the money that you owe me after 3 weeks!!!

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. This company is a scam. First they made us wait 1/2 hour. Then we denied their extra insurance (as already insured by third party agency) and drop off costs over 85€ as not stated in their T&Cs nor the ones of third party agency. Daniela (service) got furious - she started shouting at us. Without our agreement she cancelled the contract and did not want to talk to us. Her colleague took over! DID NOT RECEIVE THE CAR.

This company is a scam.first they make you wait 1hour. Then they scare you off by pretending the roads aren't safe and it's basically easy to scratch the car. They then offer you a peace of mind option where you pay double the price of your rental in exchange of you leaving with your car straight away. Tempting since you've been waiting 1h.
Now if you choose not to take their insurance, they tell you that they need to check the car after all the customers have been seen...
Cheap but worst service ever.

We booked and paid for a car via Rentalcars. When we wanted to pick it up an extra charge was required. In the end the car was completely denied us and we had to rent it from another car rental company. The staff speak only poor English. I would not recommend this car rental to anyone.
