Was ripped off big time from this branch of Avis. The consultant was a bully that could not or pretended not to speak English....I think the latter. I will be taking this further with Avis.....shocking service, you should be ashamed of yourselves. Don't even deserve 1/2 a star - disgusting.

Do not use this AVIS branch, their crooks. Didn't give the car I booked/ reserved. Given a 150£ more than I reserved. Plus didn't cancel my original one. Still not sure of 2 cars will be charged to my credit card when I finish this holiday.

WATCH OUT FOR EXTRA CHARGES.
I have been renting a from Avis for over 7 years, as a frequent traveler.
I made my reservation for Naples online as usual. When we showed upwe walked in the scorching 35°C + Humidex June weather because the shuttle line was super long and you have to wait outside in that anyway. It was an 8-10 minute walk.
We got to the rental office which is a complete zoo. People have to wait outside because it is so tiny inside (You can see my pictures to get an idea of the number of people waiting outside). The staff were VERY FRIENDLY, but watch out because it is this precise thing that will cost you.
BEWARE - The extreme friendliness and Italian charm is turned to 200%. They speak to you in half English and Italian, make a lot of jokes and rush you because there is so many people waiting behind you. I was hit with every single extra charge without being told. All the guy said was that I had to initial in 3 places and that the reason the amount was so much higher was because of a deposit.
We were tired, overheating and just wants to get into an air conditioned car and get out. This I am sure is what they take advantage of. Once you initial you're on the hook for th charges.
I fought them when I returned the car and recorded the conversation. Once I told the lady I was recording, she changed her tune, because she knew that I had been given the extra charges without being told. She gave me a "big discount", almost down to my original booking price.
I compromised with this. I should have read before initialing AND the salesperson should have told me before including extra charges.
Lesson/advice. READ EVERYTHING with a number and ASK. They all speak English perfectly. They only do the 50/50 English- Italian because it's part of the charm.
