I visited Mirta about a month ago. Unfortunately there was a mix up with my reservation, personally I blame my hotel, but this was a lovely albeit short night.
The staff were kind enough to squeeze me in for an early sitting.
The food was great as was the wine.
I am looking forward to going back one day.

Good restaurant. Traditional Italian cuisine (mainly meat dishes) with lots of delicacies from the Italian terroirs. Good wine selection as well. Average Milan prices.

Don't waste your money here. I could get into the technical things about how a white ragout and saffron pasta had actually NO saffron and a load of parsley (which could have made a great chimichurri btw) but It would be a waste of energy. I spent 70 Euros and the level of disappointment was so high, I still can't get over it. I was born and raised here and bringing my NY friend to this place was an embarrassment. A brick of chopped meat they called "tartare" and something they called "foie gras terrine" which had nothing of foie gras - rather a bit of duck liver (which is much different). One thing they do is use tons of veal stock to flavor things up. The wine was good.... everything else subpar.

Nice place with kind staff. The tables and the decorations are old styled. The kitchen feels like home made, really great quality of food. Not many vegetarian options, though. Took ravioli with minth and zucchini - great meal, I would recommend. You can have lunch for around 10-15 euros
