Receptionist is friendly, can make you a good coffee for two euro, which you can drink in a backyard under fig trees.

Best hotel in Milano for ratio price/quality stands. The owners Mauro and Benedetta are very knowledged extremelly kind persons, able to give top services to guests as a 5 stars hotel. For example, they could register the daily Ecopass for my car that could not work via my handy phone and I am pretty sure that none receptionists in a top class hotel could have taken the time to personally do for a customer. I feel like at home when I am there. Friendly careful family running ambiance.
Breakfast: this is not a continental one, this is a real Italian brunch with 7 different kinds of fresh croissants, various pastries, 2 handmade cakes, top quality moussli and yougurt, fresh bread and fruit juices. (I have discovered the owners have a nearby bakery and pastry shop and this is challenging for the hotel catering!) Espresso and capuccino are of the best taste as made with the Mokka.
Rooms: very clean, not too small considering the hotel is in the city center, no elevator though.
Garden: there is a little garden with tables at the ground floor, a sort of quiet relaxing corner in the big metropoli, (like the best Ryokan in Japan ;-)
Parking: there is no inside parking but the whole street where the hotel is located is one of the very few in Milano where you can park free of charge.
Nearby public transportation: very convenient connections via bus (just in front), via tram (at few steps) and via subway Red line MM1 that you can reach either on foot or catching the bus passing by every few minutes.
Communication facilities: booking and communications are very easy and prompt via e-mail. Inside the lobby there is an Internet station available to all guests. Special arrangements can be asked and provided personally by the hotel owner and resident manager.
My comment: when in Milano, I am very customized to 3-4 hotels, they are always the same, I feel lucky when I have the chance to find a room especially at the Hotel Nuovo Murillo. After this rate, I hope to still find a room available here ;-) Stefano Wolf
