Your host is more then friendly, welcome with open arms and tells you in English about his profession in the Watermill and about his ancestors. Dates back to early 1800 and the mechanism is amazing! The lady of the house is absolute charming but understands nothing else then Italian. Before or after visiting Ispica Cave enlightens your day absolutely!

This fascinating watermill was suggested to us on a stormy morning when the better known attractions of Ragusa would have been too open to the elements... We absolutely loved it! Your tour guide is a member of the family who have milled there for centuries and the whole set up is informative and appealing. So glad it rained or we would have missed out on this gem.

Museo piccolo ma molto, molto ben tenuto e ben curato. I proprietari raccontano la storia del luogo con passione e competenza. Bellissime da vedere le cave entro cui sono state ricavate le stanze della costruzione settecentesca. Interessante soprattutto la chiesa bizantina adattata a stalla. Il mulino è ancora funzionante e si può perfino acquistare la farina.

Interesting to see the construction of the mill and the engineering that went into its design. If visiting the nearby caves then it's worth a stop but probably wouldn't go out of my way to visit.

Fabulous working old watermill in a cave, with the old living quarters, workshop, laundry and stable in the old caves as well. The couple who run it are from the miller's family. Short walk from here to rest of the caves. Highly recommended.
