Stellar, old school, family run Neopolitan restaurant. Each dish was unique and delicious. We had sea bass with potato and the grilled fmignon with vegetables - who would imagine being wowed by vegetables? Excellent flourless chocolate cake and homemade nut flavored icecreams served in nut shells. Chestnut , walnut etc. Oh and kiwi too. Crazy good. They don't have cooks here, just master chefs and professional waiters who really know what they're doing. The clientele are stylish locals. Don't miss this one.

Two of our favorite places in Naples have the name Mattozzi. This is one of them and the more refined of the two. This is really a great restaurant serving Neapolitan classics. Professional service. A great historic room. Delicious food. Colorful tables set with Solimena tableware from Vietri Sul Mare.

Pretty good pizza and decent selection of vegetable Contornis. We had a pizza and pasta dish with several vegetable sides. Pizza was traditional neopolitan style pizza and better than a lot of other ones we tried. Pasta was decent and vegetable sides were decent. There are only limited choices in appetizers and mains for vegetarians but if you are looking for good neopolitan pizza give this a try. Service is slow and it took forever to get our bill.

This place offers some of the best examples of classic Neapolitan food. We had so many dishes and it was all so good I was only able to get a few photos of the desert at the end; which was also pretty amazing. For starters we were brought their signature peach bellini's made with fresh pureed peaches which I can only decribe as nectar of the gods. For antipasti we tried the stuffed fried zucchini flowers and of course their signature mozzarella, both were exquisite.
One of the best dishes we had for our main course was the La Genovese. A pasta dish with a rich complex sauce made of beef and caramelized onions simmered for hours. Another memorable dish was the Zuppa di spolichini with seasonal cannelline beans and very tender octopus rings, which added subtle flavor. For dessert we tried the plate of mixed sorbets encased in the skin or showers from the fruit or nuts they are made from. This has to be one of the my favourite desserts
Besides the delicious food the service and attention we received was superb. They treat you like family. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for true Neapolitan dining experience.
