My favorite castle in Naples. Look at the doors at the gate with the scenes of the war between Aragonese and Angevin pretenders. On the both sides of the gate are excellent bas-relieves with Italian men-at-arms of XV century. In the church you are going to find XIV century frescoes. You have to buy a ticket to get in. Visitors are allowed to take non commercial photo without flash light.

Castel Nuovo is probably the most fascinating medieval building among the seven fortresses built during the centuries. The tickets is a bit expensive (€6), and the setting-up may not be exactly "wow" but it is really worthwhile

Impressive castle-museum complex with many interesting components, however, they are not all always accessible and the civic museum suffers from poor lighting design (like many Italian museums) which makes it difficult to fully enjoy all the exhibited artworks.
