My personal experience was nice while i was in Roma. I had a good time and the food we had was nice. Staff is very courteous.
Prices are ok for the location and setting of the area.

Fine dining restaurant. One or two star rates are for different restaurant (cafe in next door!). Wine list is very special and service is excellent. Price is like in other fine dining places. If you look budget place, go somewhere else.

after reading other reviews, we almost did not book this restaurant. after eating there, I realized everyone with 1, 2, 3 stars went to the wrong restaurant! They were looking for a cafe on the side of the street, not fine dining. This is a classic full service restaurant in Italy. This is one of the best meals we had in 2 weeks of travel around Italy. No, not the cheapest. But was a wonder meal, with great service and VERY FINE FOOD!! So for a perfect night in a perfect location at the top of the Spanish Steps for dinner, this is your place. Looking forward to going back.

This place is in as perfect location as you can imagine to sit and enjoy an afternoon near the Spanish steps. Yes it is pricey, but the recommendations are spot on and the food is better than most. The upsell is to excellent dishes and wines, but simply ask the price and you will be told. A very quiet spot amist the chaos of tourist areas of Rome.

Beware of their tactics! They try to sell you the most expensive items they have without showing you the price on the menu. 1 order of oysters that the waiter recommended, 1 spaghetti carbonara, and 1 small basic house wine cost me €110. Would have been a lot more but I didn't buy the wine bottle that the waiter was trying to sell me for €250. My friend also paid over €110 for a salad and spaghetti lunch with basic house wine. Quality of the food is average but you're paying much more than that only for the tourist trap location. Waiter was also rude and seemed bothered by the fact that we were not ordering all the items he was recommending. If we did the bill would have been easily over €500 for the both of us just for lunch! To make matters worse, the waiter seemed rushed and he spilled a glass of water on me as he was picking up the table. Expensive, unfriendly, average food, shady tactics. I was in Europe over 6 weeks and enjoyed all restaurants except for this place. This was a low point of my trip and left a bad taste in my mouth. Avoid.
