They charged me an absurd amount in the credit card, I saw the debit when i received my receipt. I had to call to Italy and they said that there was a damage in the left whell, but at the time that I returned the car, they checked and everything was perfect . Completely dishonest. I do not recommend.

Ripped me off royaly when they claimed damage to wheel rim was my fault when in fact it was pre existing and it was obvious...had a plane to catch and it ended costing me 320 euros. Memo to self...check wheels for damage before driving out and take pictures. Their drop off location at Rome airport is impossible to find, they have a single agent and she is as mean as she us ugly.

Never ever again ! the worst agency in the world. I saw a debit on my card 2 months after my holydays while I've given the car back, in good conditons with a full fuel tank. Now I'm waiting for the explanations of the additionnal fees paid on my card. This is a fraudulous use of my card ! Sorry for the words but scr*w you, or should i say v*ff*nculo !

I booked a car through Enterprise with Expedia. Navigation found other places and barely made it here. But, that's not really the problem. The woman who rented me the vehicle treated me like I was a moron for not knowing it was a particular saint's day in Rome.

She refused to give me the car unless €750 could be held on my debit card. That's almost $1000 dollars with the actual fees for the rental.

I was truly worried I wouldn't have a car for our side trip to Pompeii and Amalfi. I bit the bullet and rented it anyway against my better judgment.

My kids and wife were looking forward to this trip as was I.

I had just rented a car a week earlier from Europcar in Venice and that was a smooth and easy experience.

I've never had a problem renting a car anywhere in the world except here, that includes London, Paris, Athens, Venice, etc. I've never had a problem anywhere and always get along well with everyone when traveling. They did refund the hold after a few days, but I would not recommend Locauto to an adversary, find another rental place. I'll be reporting this to Expedia as well.

Bad experience. There is no late/garage drop off, either. You have to park on the streets of Rome, then hustle back in the am to drop off the car.

Rented a car through them for 2 days, I booked a city car, got given a much bigger one with no other choice. I called them to know how much I would have had to pay to extend the rental for 1 day, the answer was a very unprofessional slurred "I don't know it depends on how much you paid". I returned the car on time as I decided to not extend, they said I damaged the front alloyed wheel, stating that they could not quantify the damage. I got quite upset as "I don't know" is truly not acceptable to me as an answer, the guy in the office called the direction and subsequently they made me sign a form agreeing to pay 75 euro for the damage instead of 189. So they were then able to set a price over the phone?! I have been totally careful to park and not damage the car as I know many rentals can be scammers. Obviously I must have failed to notice the tiny scratch that was already there. Totally not satisfied with the way the situation was handled, the guy there who seemed to be the manager kept challenging me about things as we were discussing, showing attitude and a very not caring nature. Totally don't recommend hiring cars from here.
