Vast and impressive early 20th century brick basilical church, and the liturgical chant is still impressive. However, this institution has acquired a bad academic and moral reputation in the last half-century as a result of the Order of St Benedict experiencing a slow implosion. Any Benedictine monk visiting Rome on his own is strongly recommended not to stay here, unless he has a friend already resident who can protect and guide him. Otherwise, he might have a seriously horrible experience. The writer can vouch for this personally.

Good place to get Benedict trappist beers. But the price is high and they charge additionally for WC.
