I assumed there had to be lousy food and service somewhere in Rome, and I finally found it. That sounds snarky, but it's true. Been here almost four weeks, and this was honestly the only bad food I've eaten so far, and the service was sub par.

It was a warm day when I visited Vivi Bistrot. The atmosphere buzzed with energy, the decor authentically Italian, and the food was light and reasonably priced. I recommend this bistro to anyone wanting to feel immersed in the atmosphere & culture of the Romans.
The small restaurant is located on the grounds of the largest protected green space & landscaped Public Park which sits just outside the ancient city's limits. The pathways are flanked by GIANT TREES I had never seen before called Stone Pines (Umbrella Pines or Parasol Pines). There are fantastic views of Rome's skyline, moss covered fountains carved centuries ago dotted here and there along the pathways, and people relaxing, playing, & gathering.
I absolutely loved it and highly recommend a stroll through this storied park to visit Vivi Bistrot.

Nice and only bar/restaurant in villa panphili, so very busy, needs to be booked in advance, staff not very welcoming and food not worth the price. But is a pretty place.

Clean, quality food and drink, good service. Slightly pricey.

The place has a lot of potential with its lovely setting in the green park. And the breakfast menu is great with delicious scones, granola, etc., somehow hard to find in Rome (where breakfast consists of a coffee and cornetto normally). But the service was a huge let down, we had a reservation which did not exist, when we wanted to sit at another table than indicated to us the waitress became very unfriendly and tried to ignore us as much as possible...
