We had the best dinner of our two week trip here. The sommelier recommended two glasses of red wine that fit our respective tastes. The waiter recommended the tagliatelle with seafood, which was fresh and tender. The chef sent out a lovely cup of potato leek soup with just a touch of ginger. The food is creative and done to perfection. We were also treated to two complementary glasses of Amari after dinner.
It was a busy time during the Palio and they accommodated us without a reservation, but I would recommend stopping in to make a reservation, making it online or having your hotel make one.

I ordered a smoothie that was supposed to be made with peach, melon, and yogurt, but I received blended cantaloupe with some water. It tasted like garbage.
