Worst experience ever; I think Avis should review their branch service in Venice Airport, or better: the whole Italian branches.
Today I made over 30 calls, in the end someone from their costumers services told me to call between 21:00 and 00:00 and my phone call will be directed to the branch I needed which was Venice, I waited in despair the whole day and, when I called at 21:02, the recorded message was: we are closed at the moment , please call FREAKING tomorrow, well, something like that.
Fry them all!!!!!
FYI I am an Avis preferred costumer renting over 15 cars per year with them.
I think I need to review who I am going to rent in the future !!!!! Nite, nite.

This is a terrible location with absolutely no care for customers. The worst rental location I've been to globally with Avis.

Small office with 2 persons serving a very busy turist city. Had to wait 30min for the car to get ready which was not clean when delivered. Office lady was nice and explained everything in a clear way, not pushy on additional insurance. No issues returning the car. Only 1€ deposit required.

The car was booked 3 weeks advance, however when I came to the office, i had to wait 50 mins while stuff was looking a car for me. Then they gave me key and disappeared without checking the car. When I found scratches and damages of the car's body, it took me another 20 mins to get someone from the office to come and put it in the contract. It was rainy but I had to come and remind them few times. I've wasted more then hour. They promised me to send new contract by email with corrected pick up time and scratches, but they haven't. On the drop off in another location stuff made me waited again because as per mileage mentioned by first office, I passed 14000 kilometers for 4 days which was impossible. Although I had unlimited mileage mentioned in contract, they made me waited more then half an hour trying to find correct initial mileage!!! This was absolutely terrible experience. Will never ever deal with Avis again and will never ever recommend anybody. With such service better to close offices at all!
