What a great local hotel. It's on a quiet street in Lido right on a small canal. The hotel is a bit old and in need of some updates but otherwise very comfortable. It is 10 min from the main drag (bars, restaurants), the vaporetto stop (10 min ride to St Mark Square), and the free public beach. We had 2 rooms that were clean and nice. The breakfast is pretty standard. The staff was super accommodating and very helpful. They helped surprise my husband for his birthday with a delicious bottle of wine and a fruit basket in our room. One of the rooms was on the first floor that had a loft with a queen bed and 2 twin beds on the bottom. This room was comfortable for my mom and two kids and quiet (it's situated in the back of the building). The other room was on the top floor and had a wrap around balcony. It had an amazing view. Both bathrooms were pretty dated and in need of a rehab but served the purpose well. The elevator is very slow but worked fine. Surprisingly the AC units worked very well in the heat. The hotel allows parking in their "backyard" for 10 euros/day if you arrive by car. Overall we had a great experience and we would go back and stay at this hotel again.

Quiet hotel in good location on Lido. Restaurants and cafes close by, as well as the boat terminal. Rooms good, not super- standard, but this is a 3 star hotel after all. Service good, staff speaking English. My room with balcony in two directions was nice, especially as it overlooks the canal.

Very nice hotel. Perfectly located close to the shops, restaurants, ferry and 5 min from beach. Really nice private terrasse at the 4th floor penthouse room. The staff is polite and kind.

Great experience
Stayed for a few days during Easter week. The hotel is clean, my room was spectacular on the 4th floor, with a great terrace. Breakfast was good. The Lido is a quiet break from the hustle and overcrowding of Venice. Will certainly return. ONE PROBLEM....hot was was limited...I took a shower late at night...

Hotel Atlanta Augustus has plenty of charm, and an amazing location on Lido, close to the best restaurants on the island and a short walk from both the beach and the water bus. The rooms are cute and the bathrooms are rather nice as well. There is a complimentary breakfast every morning with delicious pastries, fruit juice, meat, cheese, and more. Where Hotel Atlanta Augustus comes up short is in minor amenities. For example, on hot days the air conditioning does not seem to work, and while you can open the windows, some of them swing dangerously into the room and seem close to falling off their hinges. Additionally, there was no cleaning service done in our room, despite us being out of the building from 8 am to 2:30 pm. Another weird quirk is that you can't take your room key out of the hotel; you leave it at the front desk to retrieve when you (or someone claiming to be you) return. Overall, it's a great hotel for the price. We may stay somewhere else next time we come to Lido, but we would still recommend it to those who find the above description appealing overall.
