As some other reviewers have mentioned, this place seems to dislike single diners: went to the restaurant at an early time for dinner and on a weekday, really excited to have good pasta, and was brushed off instantly with a curt « fully booked » remark. And did see some empty tables, perhaps reserved for later dinner time? Well, no options for dining until a specific time were given either.... also saw small children running around too... I feel bad about telling how it went to the local who recommended the place to me. Their food might be good, which I will probably never know, but just adding a smile can really help a lot, even where there is no table available...
Very disappointed, and now I will never recommend this place to my friends who are visiting Venice - a single diner who’s not welcomed can only do so much, right?

Got the same "fully book" issue as mentioned by another reviewer. I asked for a table and the staff said ok and preparing my table. Until he saw my wife and kid.
It is totally OK if you don't welcome solo diner or family with young kids, but I don't think lying about fully booked will make things better. You could simply put a poster or something in front of the restaurant.

This food was awesome!!! And I can't believe the prices are so good. This is a restaurant you must try.

We loved this restaurant: it is beautifully appointed. We sat in the courtyard overlooking the canal. The great thing is the sensibility of the owners: they love and use beautiful objects. So, they use Murano glasses and carafes. The starters were generous creations. Tasty and wholesome. The main courses were delicious. If you love seafood and are on Lido this is a "must visit" restaurant.

This is a fantastic place. Food is very good and reasonably priced. Any restaurant that brings over a choice of grappas at the end of a meal has my vote. The best value and food on the lido.
