You can never go wrong staying with this hotel chain. Very nice upper floor room, view of business area, Canal City was a bit of a hike but doable. Finding entrance to car park took 2 trips around the block but was easy on return. Direct access to hotel from car park. Didn't use the restaurant, but looked great (so many choices outside). Very quiet, felt like we were the only ones on the floor, but saw in morning occupancy was high.

The 2nd worst hotel experience I've ever had. We stayed during Golden Week, which is a peak travel time in Japan and so also paid a hefty price for the room. I'll summarize the good and bad below, starting with bad, as is what most reviewers want to know:
Bad:
・Old and dirty room with black mold/dust shoots from the A/C and stuck to the popcorn ceiling in the room.
・Breakfast is a nightmare long wait. First there's the wait to enter, then the lining up to get food. We waited in line for an omelet at least 15 minutes.
・Actual room door keys, not plastic slide cards to enter your room. The keys are to be dropped off when you leave the hotel and then when you return you should line up again to retrieve them, waiting in the same line as the checkin guests (average wait for us was about 3-5 minutes each time).
・value for what we paid was terrible.
Good: the checkout process was quick.
