Lunch is very disappointing,it's not worth the price. Everything's were prepared long ago,it seemed. The service is not anything special.

An haute interpretation of a Japanese ryokan in the shadow of Arashiyama. It is an oasis from the hustle and bustle of urban activity and tourism with easy access to the nearby bamboo forest and Tenryu-ji (temple), a World Heritage site. We stayed in the Yuzunoha room which has its own small backyard and an outdoor private bath that pipes in the same mineral water as the spa hot spring that the hotel is known for. Food options are a little sparse and the surrounding area is kind of touristy, but if you're looking for a meditative retreat, this is the place to stay.

Gracious service, beautiful setting. We stayed in the Japanese style room and loved it! The location is convenient for walking to the bamboo forest, the monkeys, the romantic train, and other attractions in old Kyoto.

Great hotel, great location, very relaxing. Staff very accommdating, ready to address your every need.. Easy walk from light rail, a touch further from JR line but no more than a 15 minute walk.. Would definitely stay again.
