会員限定なので興味本位だけで訪れた人等で館内が混むという事も無く、安心してドールの撮影や喫茶室で休憩ができる。
元々美術館だった事、市が指定建築物にしたいと考えている事から館内の施設のみを訪れたい、という方には申し訳ないが、嫌な思いをせずに趣味を楽しめる空間は大変有り難い事だと思う。
身分証明書提示が毎回必須なので防犯面でも安心出来るのは大きい。
入館は会員限定(有料会員は予約不要、無料会員のみ予約要)ではあるが、有料会員登録は顔写真付きの身分証明書を持参すれば1080円の年会費を支払い登録、即日館内に入れるのであまり閉鎖的とは言えないと思う。
余程のことがない限り、大阪、神戸、横浜、福岡、原宿等の天使のすみかや天使の窓等、常に開店している店舗でもSDに関する対応をしてくれるので現在の開館日程についても特に困る事は無いと思われる。
海外からの観光客向けにスティパス(?)も有るらしい。

As the "home" of all Volks SD dolls, it is worth a visit by anyone who has one! Keep on mind that reservations are required for all foreign visitors, instructions on how to do it can be found on the Volks Japan web site. Take note that the location only has information in Japanese and there may not be any English speakers on staff during your visit. It generally isn't difficult to get by without Japanese, however it may be challenging.
Another service this place offers is the beauty salon. There, experts can perform maintenance on your SD, such as restrung ing or sueding. These services are in addition and they can provide you with pricing.
Photos are only allowed in certain parts, but please bring your camera! There are unique opportunities for doll and owner to share, as well as meet other SD owners.

月に１０日ぐらいしか開いていない、かつ事前予約が必要で会員限定とかなり閉鎖的。毎日開けばいいのに・・・
駐車場まで縮小して更に有料化に・・・
修理も眉１つ書いて欲しいだけでもその場対応してくれない不便な対応。
ボークスは簡単な修理でも大切なSDなのに預かり時間が数ヶ月と長かったりサポートが悪い。
月に１０日ぐらいしか開いていない、かつ事前予約が必要で会員限定とかなり閉鎖的。毎日開けばいいのに・・・

文字通りSDの里です。ゆっくりと流れる時間、素晴らしい庭、SDオーナーとして京都に移り住み週1で通いたい位です。
