Beautiful and serene park in the city. Several shrines are located inside for worshippers. Crowded on Sundays.

I went there on 18th September, which means it's still summer going to autumn; place is really small; a lot of it aren't well kept. There are wild grasses everywhere, the iris aren't blooming and the water lily pond is just a small greenish pond.
The kiyomasa well is just a puddle, a really clear puddle with a few pebbles.
Not worth your time and especially not worth your 500 yen!

Would be great in other seasons than summer, but the water lilys are nice! Haha

It's a really small garden, and I entered half an hour before closing time, thinking that I'll have time to spare. But already 15 minutes before closing, the guards started yelling at people to leave and not take any more pictures, despite the fact that the entrance was 100m away. Quiet contemplation and being herded like cattle are not compatible, I'm afraid.
Even beside that, the garden is not much to look at, and I wouldn't recommend it. Maybe only in spring when the irises bloom. The "famous" Kyomasa's Well is just a puddle with some pebbles

Beautiful and serene temple. Lots of trees, which were all hand planted make up the forest that surrounds this beautiful sanctuary. It's a wonderful place to relax and reconnect with oneself. Sometimes you even get to see weddings!
