I like this park. Is old, with huge trees and a channel, with Chinese-style pavilion. There are not many people usually. You can feed ducks there or just sit in the quiet.

The park was our main way to get into the centre of Riga and it was much better than on the streets. Lovely flowers and trees fountains on the canals and the buildings even the older unclean ones are amazing.

Nice park. Looked clean and taken care of. Didn't notice junkies or homeless people anywhere. Lots of benches to sit on sculptures to look at and generally fairly peaceful atmosphere.

The best park in Riga for a peaceful stroll or jogging anytime of the day or evening. Very beautifully landscaped and well-maintained. Kronvalda park is a perfect place for a leisurely walk as well as active recreation with children. There is a playground, roller-skating tracks, a cafe and an underground parking-lot. In summer times one can take a boat ride or a water bicycle on the city canal. Kronvalda park is also just a short walking distance away from the Esplanade or Freedom Monument.
