Have gone here a number of times over the past few years, usually for celebrations. Never been disappointed. Always great and friendly service, with nice food and ambience. Customer since 2014 until now, standard has not dropped. 👍🏼

I went for Wagyu 7, was disappointed.. meat was tough in certain places, with blobs of fat. Also ordered grilled salmon which was a disaster. I had ordered it before but this time the sauce was sweet with an odd topping of black sesame seeds. The vegetables that came with the steak and salmon were the worst - it seemed to be boiled in pepper water. That was all we could taste, just pepper.

This place is a hidden gem. I had the Black Angus and it was exceptional, full of flavor, juicy with a slight crisp as you bite into the meat. Really lived up to its name, "simply good food".
My friend had the N.Z. Lamb Cutlets which was also really tasty.
Service was average, but definitely worth coming back again. Try their soups and spicy mussels as well!
