This company deserves 0 stars. My wife and I rented a scooter from these frauds. A man named Moises dropped the scooter off at our resort and walked around the scooter proclaiming it was in perfect condition. He recommended we buy insurance in which we did. We took a quick look (our fault) and signed off that it was in good condition. We toured the beautiful island of Cozumel and they were to pick it up at our resort at 6 pm. Two young males came by to pick it up. One male immediately walked to the front of the scooter and notice a scratch approximately 1 inch long which was barely visible with the naked eye. He stated you scratched it, you are going to have to pay. I told him you are not going to scam us and get Moises here. My wife tried to take a picture of it with her phone and you couldn't even see it with her phone. We went to their place of business where Moises came out. He looked at it and said, you damaged it you are going to have to pay. I told him you are trying to scam us and we are not paying. He used the F-word towards me and grabbed his crotched. Needless to say there was a $30 dollar deductible that we were not told about. Heated words were exchanged, I paid the $30 but it was a scam job from the start. Guarantee this scooter was used the following day and another person was scammed. Stay away from HTL Rentals and Moises. He is no good along with the company. This place should be investigated and shut down.

Be careful these people are thiefs !!!! They will act nice at the beginning and get you at the end. I rented a car with 3/4 of a thank of gas they said return the car with the same amount which I did and still got charged for gas. I do not recommend this place.

I have recommended this business to many friends and family.
Very enjoyable and straight forward experience. My two companions and I rented 3 scooters for a great price at 60 bucks total for the entire day. I highly recommend making a loop on the island, as you will see a lot more of the cheaper attractions that are very fun! You will also get a taste for the soul of the people there as you will have noticed most travel by moped.
Furthermore, they are very reasonable people. One of my companions managed to take neither insurance or caution on a turn and managed to damage a panel. They very reasonably requested 80 USD in compensation and proved destruction of credit card records.
ALWAYS MAKE SURE THEY DO NOT KEEP YOUR CREDIT CARD RECORD AS SOME RENTAL STORES WILL CHARGE YOU WEEKS LATER.

BEWARE!!
I HAVE BEEN IN 6 states in Mexico over two months and these people are by far the worst.
The jeep DIDNT have any radio air or anything. The top was tied down with straps. They removed the drive shaft so you only get 2wd and get stuck anywhere you go. They will charge you for having any beach sand in the car, and for anything else they can! I reluctantly paid cash had I not I would be disputing the charge for the car immediately. The insurance is a hoax and the attitude of all the workers is ridiculous. I'm honestly worried my card won't get the deposit back.
I'd give 0 stars if I could. Never again for anyone with HTL

BUYER BEWARE!!! The car was returned with a scratch on the "HTL Sticker" on the driver side door and they requested that I pay the $50.00 in damages. How they arrived to that number is unknown to me? I also paid the $20 for additional insurance that I thought would cover the damage. Not the case. To be quite frank, all the company probably is going to do is put another HTL sticker over the scratch. IF I was in the US and used a reputable company like Hertz or Enterprise. I know there wouldn't have been an issue.
I wanted to give HTL zero stars...but was not able to post.
