My wife had surgery here (breast enlargement). The staff was very caring, and did the best they could to communicate to us in English. Some of the orderly's could speak a little English, so they helped the nurses the best they could. It was very clean, food was served warm, the room was cleaned constantly.
The staff had our doctors personal cell number (Dr Arriagga) and did not hesitate to call to have him speak to us directly about any concerns or questions. Way over and above anything were accustomed to.
My wifes room had a private bathroom with a full tiled shower and facilities. It looked very nice, even comparable to your own home. The hospital operating room was as modern and clean as one would find in any major city in Canada (we are from Edmonton). We felt very safe. I was allowed to sleep in her room on the nice leather fold down couch, yet I found the leather La-Z-Boy recliner in the room to be more comfy then the couch.
The Hospital or "hotel" as it had that appearance, had rooms around the perimeter on the floors above ground level. In the center was a nice sitting area, with a garden, and palm trees and flower beds etc. It felt very foreign, and yet comforting.
There is a small corner pharmacy that also sells confectionery items. They staff recommended I could get Chinese take-out from the restaurant around the corner, but I decided I shouldn't risk it even against their suggestions.
As for the prices? It was dirt cheap. We get free health care in Canada and my work benefits would normally cover a room for free back home, but this was way more then just a room. We were happy to pay the small affordable fee.
We would not hesitate to recommend this hospital to any family member or friend.
