I also highly recommend Dr. Rivas at PV Smiles. Enjoyed our chats (his English was excellent and I don't speak Spanish) and the pain free procedures. Very much appreciated the diligence he showed in getting the impressions right and the pride he takes in his work. Facility is clean and well equipped and my two gold crowns feel great. Good value for money that makes the trip worthwhile. Thank you Dr. Rivas.

AVOID THIS TERRIBLE DENTIST! Absolutely unprofessional! Dr. Rivas advertises 4 days to complete a crown. He had 8 days before my return flight to CA, when he started, told me no problem. On day 5 he made an excuse to wait longer, on 6th day a new excuse to wait longer, on 7th day again an excuse, but said he could definitely finish it on day 8, just hours before my departing flight. Then, at the last minute, he put on a crown, supposed to be zircronium, strongest material...it cracked within one hour! He didn't even remove extra cement, so I went back with 3 hours till my flight home, lucky that I did that, or the cracked crown would have been in my mouth on the departing flight, paid for and needing new treatment right away in CA. So, then Rivas said he would mail me a crown and cement, for me to finish it alone in CA. Even that was followed by excuses, he said it's illegal to mail dental cement with the crown. It has been a month later now, with the temporary. I had to find a CA dentist willing to take on Rivas's fiasco. I found one luckily, and the amount Dr. Rivas reimbursed was less than what the CA dentist needed to finish his pathetic unprofessional mess. I was never treated so unprofessionally by any dentist before. Also, if you are so un-wise as to go to PVSmile, you will have a very difficult time to even locate it, the sign is tiny, and in residential area very hard to find, That should have been my first sign of how inept he is. Do yourself a favor AVOID THIS UNPROFESSIONAL DENTIST so as to AVOID BIG PROBLEMS.

Dr. Rivas and his staff were wonderful and professional. He explained everything, checked in during my procedure and was very fair in his pricing. I would recommend this clinic to my friends and family. I also will be back again for all my dental needs.

I have lived in Puerto Vallarta for several years now, and took my time investigating all dental options here before choosing Dr. Rivas. His attention to detail and listening to what the patient wants set him above all the others. He also is a perfectionist! Which of course is exactly what you want when it comes to your smile! He had the lab redo several of my teeth so that they fit and looked exactly the way we discussed. I highly recommend him, you will not be disappointing with the results!

I've been searching for a great dentist since moving to Mexico from Vancouver, Canada, five years ago, and I'm so happy to have been recommended to Dr. Rivas. His office is immaculate and professional and his equipment and skills are state-of-the-art. I was able to get an appointment the same day for a chipped tooth which was repaired quickly and without any discomfort. Dr. Rivas speaks English flawlessly but his rates were extremely reasonable compared to other dental offices in Puerto Vallarta which cater to American and Canadian patients. I was extremely impressed.
