I just changed my review from 5 to 1 star and here is why: I know this beach club since I was born. I spent a good amount of my pocket money for icecream here when I was a child. I know all the changes over the years and was one of the first kinda-stoked customers when the pavillion was open through the winter. As a homeowner on the island, it was a pleasure to have dinner in the winter and walking home through the cold breeze.I really loved that.
In the past 2 years there were some changes I really dont like. In the start of the season the portion sizes drastically changed to minimum size. I think this has leveled out a bit but never the less, the tendency is still the same: We were charged 7,50 € for a beer tonight. The "new" signature beer isnt even that good. Just to be clear: I dont know any place on the whole Island where you have to pay more than 5,50 € for half a liter. The half liter isnt even on the menu so you get your surprise with the bill.
(Funny: 0,3 is 4€ - if you buy the 0,5 that would be 6,66 € in the per-liter price. You are overcharged for the large beer.)
As I said before, we had a great time together. I grew up in this place and we had plans on celebrating our wedding here (which we wanted to discuss this week but that just vanished magically). You lost a loyal customer today, if not one of the most loyal you coud think of.
