Marco Cornini
Beeldhouwers
Marco Cornini was born in Milan, in 1966; his first one man show was in 1988. At the time, he was going to affirm unusual values of sculptural story, with a right mixture of actuality and antiques, noble lessons. His «magnificent obsession» around the feminine, is a song and against song in a time of loving research, by now rarity. For the present exhibition, the name is synthetically and unavoidably Women, Marco Cornini has realized expressly, one cycle of sculpture that confirmed and affirmed the good quality of consideration about the maturity, by now reached. The chromatic elements of his sculptures, come from the union of pigments during the phase of realization, it was accentuated. With keen effect but, in always time, with beauty. The audacity of the story is illustrated with the work: The Red Car (here we can see a nude couple, taken by surprise in «love crimes»), the real underlining of voyeurismo, metaphor of the obscene, act of the art lover – to look.

As Marco Di Capua write in his text in the catalogue: «Between the Cornini’s women, the fleeting, the lost in thought, the emotional, and the mysterious, search for a new space, and with their style. This scenes are turned at the least, stories of a man who models as a writer, instead of a sculptor… The art of Cornini is ductile, theatrical, light, romantic, intimate: you can pass from sculpture to sculpture as if turning over pages».

The exhibition is accompanied by the hundred and thirty fourth catalogue of the Edizioni Il Polittico, number eighty nine of the chain «Gli Allegri Inventori», and it includes, apart from the text by Marco Di Capua, the reproduction in colours of all the works exposed.
