In my reviews I complain a lot about lack of service in (Dutch) restaurants, so I was a bit surprised that our dining experience at Marnemoende was flawless. We had a very warm welcome and enjoyed a good white wine at the balcony before we moved inside for dinner. The restaurant is located next to a marina where you can rent a boat to make a nice trip on the Hollandse IJssel. The menu at Marnemoende is not that extensive but their quality is top. The lamb I had was very well prepared and my companions were more that satisfied with the served veal and bavette. The staff is well trained and can give good advice on wine-food combinations. This place is definitely worth visiting more than once!

Very nice place on a great location near the water. If you have the opportunity, make sure to get on the water for a bit as well.
