This is a small but great restaurant. In all it has about 26 seats and from the outside it looks like a normal house. The food is great. Classic French cooking, but with a light twist and without becoming "nouvelle cuisine". And here you'll not only find meat, but also recognizable vegetables, something you see less and less in the better restaurant. Excellent salad with sea brass. Great dessert; Sabayon with cherries and homemade icecream. Good portions, friendly service.

I live in France with my French wife and French cuisine is my normal fare. Le Bon Mangeur meets that standard, especially with its gibier and sturdy Côte du Rhones. The service is not exactly tip-top, alas, but it's always friendly at least.
