Fantastic for coeliacs and gluten free diners, otherwise just fantastic.
Oker is one of a scarce few restaurants in The Hague to clearly offer an extensive range of gluten free and dairy free dishes. This alone was enough to convince me to dine there. Happily I report that Oker also offers fantastic food served by friendly, knowledgeable staff in a pleasant, comfortable environment.
One of the Oker virtues is that it clearly marks dishes that contain gluten and dairy within their Dutch and English menu. It is a shame this is not also true for their online menu. It would be great to see them make that improvement.
Before deciding to eat at Oker I quizzed the servers on duty about the risk of cross-contamination. I was encouraged to find that all the people I spoke to were keen to understand and help. Servers were familiar with the meaning of ‘coeliac’. They did not guess or speculate answers to my questions and instead checked with the chef if in doubt.
I love having tough choices to make when eating out. Oker certainly offers that for the gluten free diner. You could eat there daily for a week and have new things each day. I sample the Thai Coconut Soup, Truffle Risotto and Eggplant, Goat Cheese, Walnut Salad. The textures and flavours were truly worth savoring, and despite being short for time on a business trip dinner, I thoroughly enjoyed doing so.

Went as a couple on a Saturday night :
The good: setting was nice, staff was trying to be friendly, and food was ok (but nothing special).
The bad: service was so slow that we had to wait for dessert for 45 minutes as an example, place is overpriced with respect to other places in the hague center that have even better quality, chairs were uncomfortable (maybe in order to fit as many tables as possible), and it was definitely understaffed for the number of tables.
In total, i can't say i had a good experience and therefore i can't recommend it.

Nice fusion kitchen! The atmosphere was great and the staff was super friendly. A good place to have dinner in the Hague.
