WE HAD TO WAIT FOR 50min TO BE PICKED UP AT THE AIRPORT, WE CALLED 3 TIMES AND EACH TIME THEY SAID THAT THEY WERE ON THEIR WAY. WE WERE ALSO NOT IMPRESSED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE VEHICLE WITH STAINED SEATS, SCRATCHES AND DENTS ON THE BODY WORK. WE WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED OVERALL WITH THE SERVICE AND QUALITY THAT WE RECIEVED FROM THIS COMPANY AND WOULDN'T RECOMMENT THEM.

I am so disappointed by our experience with Apex car rentals. We hired a car from the Gold coast, and when we picked it up, it had dents and scratches on it that the staff "had no idea about", the car was in good condition, but I wouldn't say it was spotless. We had to insist on the staff doing a condition report before we hired it, as they didn't seem aware of the previous damage from the last people that had hired it. We returned it on a full tank of petrol to the Brisbane depot and then a few hours later, got charged $50 for cleaning costs. There was some sand on the car mats from time we had spent at the beach, but no other damage to the interior, We were not called by staff to discuss this, but had our credit card charged with no discussions. We were never told the car had to be fully cleaned before dropping off. I find it hard to believe it would have cost $50 to vacuum the car. I have never had this experience from other car hire companies. You might save some money with the initial hire, but Id prefer to hire from a more trustworthy company.

Very rude customer serveries, and even hangup my phone, staff were told me the manager is not on and they dont have anyone in charge. what a joke apex car rental, and no business from me, and people please be ware of it.

I can't say anything bad about Apex! We rented a car in Christchurch City for 30 days with a return in Auckland City. They gave us the ticket for the ferry and everything went fine. We had a great time in New Zealand without any problems. I would really recommend it!

Unfortunate experience today with Apex Christchurch. Firstly they were unable to confirm the exact type of car through the entire reservation process - until ten minutes into the pick-up process. This was a concern throughout It was then unavailable as it was having a tyre replaced. We had to wait an hour until it was ready and then spotted another car of the exact same model in the car-park. Why this could not have been assigned to us to avoid our wait (with three kids) was not adequately explained "Not sure why 'they' did that. The car had >105k kms and a few dents and scratches. Once finally packed and ready to go... turned the ignition key to find no starter motor turning over. Flat battery. The staff member said he had apologised at the time but I never heard it - battery replacement. On opening the engine bay we were both taken aback a bit to see it so dusty. Once the battery was replaced we set off to find out on arriving at our destination that one of the headlights were out - and that the keyless remote did not work. "We don't use them we just use manual". To their credit they offered a full refund on cancellation which we took advantage of. No other apologies for wasting 2 hours of our time or giving us a bad experience. Will not be using them again.
