worst service, the girl at the counter was extremely unhelpful car was not clean, disgusting condition of the booster that was provided - for 4 days they were going to charge me $100 for the seat! I said I could buy a brand new one for that price 😡 We couldn't fill up because we were running late, car had more than half a tank... they charged me 343NZD for half a tank! Never ever using these guys again!

Worst customer service experience ever! Arrived in AKL after 16h flight from Dubai - only to wait unbelievable 1 1/2 hours more with our 2 year old until we finally had a car - although we already booked and paid everything weeks before for a 4 weeks long term rental. Pickup counter was totally understaffed for the masses of people in front of the counter, personal was overwhelmed as and their processes and IT systems seem to be anachronistic, as it took at least 20 minutes for each customer waiting in line to actually go through their process and get the keys. When we finally got our rental agreement, sales rep said "keys will be brought to you in 5 mins"...after another 15 min with no keys we asked again - then the sales rep said he couldn't give us the booked car, as he couldn't check it out of the system (!!!). Unbelievable and unprofessional as! The "free upgrade" he promised afterwards wasn't even close the class of the car we should have gotten and was a quite old and worn Holden Captiva (with a almost flat tyre which we found out 2 days later)- and they had to get it from another car park outside the airport...another 20 min. Also very annoying: when you want to return the rental car, you have to enter the arrival gate in the airport again, as you cannot hand over directly at the car park..you have to drop off the keys at their desk...wtf... will never ever book a car with them in Auckland again!

The worst.
Did a relocation for them from Melbourne to Sydney.
When returning to Sydney domestic, we were rushed out of the van and in the rush left a bag under the front passenger seat.
We didn't notice until we got into the city.
Tried ringing the depot for 3 days straight with NO ANSWER!
(Also had the same problem when trying to ring Melbourne depot).
Sent multiple emails and got the reply "ring the depot" - real helpful!

We ended up going to Sydney international Europcar desk when we were on our way back to NZ.
Lady was helpful but "the systems were down" and couldn't do much.

Still sending emails, but no replies now.

Choose Europcar if you want your stuff stolen and bad customer service.

I walked out of the arrivals gate and went straight to their desk. I had no booking but was given keys within 5 minutes. The cars are stored next to the terminal 👍. I drove hundreds of K's in a matter of days then handed the keys back, jumped on my plane and went home. So easy.
