Tavern was closed. Politely asked the lady in the bottle shop if the pub would open back up and she was rude and snappy and told us she wasn't in charge of the bar. Would love to come back to taste the burgers that people raved about...but will buy our take away booze somewhere else.

Shame the pub was shut. We had heard they do the best burgers for miles. It's just a pity the lady in the Thirsty Liqueur bottle shop next door was the most rude and unhelpful person I have met in New Zealand.
