Dealt with Norm who appeared to be the owner of the business. Unhelpful and rude to a point that he declined to send a simple confirmation for the booking (even when I have asked him to do so). As a customer I was just keen on getting the official confirmation including instruction on where to pick up and drop off the vehicle. Norm ended up refusing to take my business when I have asked for these to be sent to me via email (it seemed that he just did not want to bother to write an email explaining all of the required information). Don't bother with this company.

Don’t do it. It will take about an hour to get a car... nothing is fast with Norm. Car is likely going to break down on the side of the road. Charged a ridiculous amount for a 13 year old car. Fees on fees on fees.

A very rude man who rents death traps and doesn't care about his customers safety. The breaks failed coming down from The Remarkables ski resort and terrified my wife and kids. When we managed to stop and get off the road using the hand-break. We immediately called the owner to ask for help. He was rude and disinterested in our safety and told us it was our fault and we needed to call a mechanic for help. We left the car and called Avis who delivered us a brand new Land Cruiser which cost us less than the old clapped out van we had rented from Act Now. Avoid this company at all costs, I don't know how they stay in business.

Norm was helpful and easygoing. Car was in OK condition but cheaper compared to the others.

I don't normally write a review, about services that are bad. This is because I give most companies the benefit of the doubt. Most companies are also good at rectifying issues once they are pointed to them. But this company, ACT NOW RENTAL in Queenstown, is well hopeless. The attitude I got from Norm the manager was both disrespectful, degrading and down right unhelpful. Please do not use them. There are several better companies that are around the corner and less than 2 minute walk that will treat you like a valued costumer, and will make your driving holiday around Queenstown amazing and epic.
