Looks like the same issue as others.
Collected the car and the outside was dirty. Returned the Vehicle with no Damage - handed the keys to the Counter as noone there to inspect the vehicle.
A week later get an email stating there is damage to the car in multiple points.
after numerous phone calls and emails europcar will still not answer any questions in regards to why noone will inspect the vehicle at dropoff and at what point from me handing the keys in to them checking the vehicle a week later am i actually liable for damages to the vehicle.
Head overseas 3 - 4 times a year and always hire cars. never damaged any cars i have hired. Will not ever use Europcar again. There is a reason my company got rid of there corporate deal with Europcar as they are a pack of Shady liars. Id give them 0 stars if i could.

Very scummy company to deal with!
Same experience as other users. Nobody inspects the car when you drop it off, you just get a random, unsubstantiated email from Europcar about a week after returning the car saying there has been damages.
My advice, HIRE ELSEWHERE! It will save you a lot of hassle in the long run.

NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY.
when i get estimate price on their website, there is no mention about GST and Security Deposit. when i arrive Queenstown, they ask me 15%GST + almost 30% of money for deposit. i paid $600 for rent a car but they ask me $200 more for security deposit. important thing is they said it will be refund in 48hr after return the car but still i didn't get the money. its already 2 weeks ago.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. they will rip off your wallet even you come back from travel.

Booking through Europcar was really simple and easy. They offer great prices on their vehicles, a fantastic rewards program and ample options to tailor my needs of insurance cover. The staff were friendly and the car was nearly brand new. Very happy with my experience.

NEVER EVER USE EUROPCAR. They will send you a random email a week after returning the car saying there has been damages but not provide any information about what damage. I took a video of the car before and after returning the vehicle and there was absolutely no damage done by me. Reading the reviews the apparently charge random amounts to peoples credit cards all over the world. I have had to cancel my card to make sure I do not get charged as people are unable to claw the money back from them due to absolutely pathetic customer service... DO NOT USE EUROPCAR.
